University elections 2023

This year's university elections will take place on July 11, 2023 from 9 am to 5pm
Absentee ballots can still be requested via TUMOnline until June 27, 2023. We've explained how it works in the video below.

How can I vote?

For a stress-free election we recommend to vote by postal vote. You can find detailed instructions for postal voting here.

Q&A with the candidates of the 2021 university election

Why should I vote?

  • You set the direction of Higher Education Policy for the next year!
  • You motivate your Student Representatives!
  • You strengthen the position of the Student Representation and thus your interests!
  • You strengthen your Student Representatives in the committees and thereby influence the development of your department and your university!

Who can I vote for?

You elect:

  • Dean (every three years)
  • Student Representatives in the TUM Senate and the TUM Board of Trustees
  • Student Representatives in the Department Council
  • Student Representatives  according to the Bavarian Higher Education Act

Where to vote?

You have the option of voting on site or by postal vote. On-site voting is set up at the following locations: main site Munich (enrollment hall), campus Garching (magistral mechanical engineering), campus Weihenstephan (foyer central lecture hall) and TUM campus Straubing (Schulgasse 22).
